[Concept]
When I approach a large-scale check, I emphasize a sense of lightness, and try to the checks I make seem transparent – an essence that floats above.
I cut strips of organdy on the bias and express color variation and the effect of transparency by layering them.
Incorporating influences from clothes worn in Japan’s Kamakura and Muromachi periods, these designs evoke the silhouettes of 50’s and 60’s styles.
My entry will be a coat dress incorporating these innovative large-scale checks.
